We Invite You to Donate Handmade Items or Yarn for Premature Babies by January 31

Join Kanclers NAMĀ in the campaign “Let’s Warm the Little Ones” by donating finished handmade items or yarn for premature babies. On February 1, we will deliver your donations, along with ours, to those who need them the most.

About the Campaign
The goal of the Heartwarming Workshop (Sirds Siltuma Darbnīca) is to support premature babies and their parents, as well as babies who lack parental care, such as those left in Baby Boxes. While professional care is provided by doctors and medical staff, each of us can contribute to the well-being of these little ones.

If you want to warm a premature baby with a knitted or crocheted hat, socks, blanket, or toy, you can join the campaign. For premature babies, octopuses are especially suitable – their tentacles resemble the umbilical cord, providing comfort and a sense of security.

Donations of finished handmade items or yarn can be delivered to our stores in Jelgava: Katoļu Street 7 and Pasta Street 51/7. We promise to deliver all donations to the Heartwarming Workshop.

You can also bring your handmade items after January 31; they will be delivered later.

Approximately 25 g of yarn is needed to make socks and a hat for one baby, while a blanket requires about 300–400 g of yarn. Any yarn with at least 50% wool content will work.
