WHAT DO YOU NEED TO RENT A BIKE?
- Identity document (passport, ID card, or driver's license);
- An active phone number for contact;
- At least 18 years of age.
IS A SECURITY DEPOSIT REQUIRED?
WHAT ARE THE RENTAL POINT WORKING HOURS?
- Working days: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM;
- Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM;
- Outside of working hours: by agreement and with at least a 50% surcharge.
Terms of Use
RENTAL EQUIPMENT AND SAFE USE
1. The customer is obliged to use the rented equipment in good faith throughout the rental period, preventing
damage, loss, or theft. If during the rental period the rented equipment or any part thereof is lost,
damaged, or stolen, SIA Kanclers is entitled to demand full payment from the customer for the
item at the current market price.
2. The person renting the equipment is fully responsible for returning it to the SIA Kanclers
rental point in the same condition as it was prior to use. The customer's duty is to
properly lock the bicycle when left unattended, by securing the frame and back wheel to an
immovable object fixed to the ground or a bike stand. This is necessary to
reduce the risk of theft or damage to the bicycle.
3. Before the rental equipment is handed over, the customer is briefed on safe use,
riding, maneuvering, stopping, and proper locking when leaving the equipment unattended.
LIABILITY AND RIGHTS
1. The customer is responsible for appropriate personal insurance to cover risks that may arise during the rental period.
SIA Kanclers is not liable for any claims regarding bodily injury or harm, accidents, damage to third-party
property, or the customer's personal loss occurring during the rental period.
2. SIA Kanclers does not rent equipment to persons who are under the influence of alcohol or narcotic substances.
3. In special cases, SIA Kanclers reserves the right not to enter into a rental agreement without providing additional explanation.
4. Customer personal data used in rental agreements are processed in accordance with the European Union Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC.
5. The place of jurisdiction is Jelgava, Latvia, and this agreement is governed by the laws of Latvia.
